Michael Scholl – Marketing/Communications/Content Development

Michael Scholl is a senior communications consultant, serving a variety of automotive and consumer clients. He provides strategic counsel and execution of B2B and consumer-facing public relations, marketing communications, digital/online and social media programs.

As a seasoned professional with experience in the automotive, healthcare, biofuels and insurance industries, Scholl has been instrumental in helping global companies build brand value and surpass sales objectives. He recently served as Communications Manager, Bio-Energy for Dutch company Royal DSM, where he was responsible for media relations, government relations, advertising, trade shows/exhibits, branding, editorial writing and social media outreach. At DSM, he played a crucial role in the successful grand opening of a $250 million cellulosic ethanol biorefinery, managing 25+ international press representatives, while in the presence of the King of the Netherlands, as well as several high-ranking U.S. government officials and industry executives.

In the automotive industry, Scholl has worked for United Technologies Automotive, which was one of the largest global body electronics and small motors suppliers, providing a broad range of electrical distribution systems, safety/comfort/convenience components and security/vehicle entry modules to automakers on four continents. He was responsible for successful media relations, website content development, trade shows and customer-specific exhibits, advertising and special projects globally. He also worked at Johnson Controls as Manager of Exhibits & Events, where he had responsibility for auto shows, private customer exhibits and motorsports hospitality.

Scholl graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a minor in Music. In addition to managing the care and maintenance of a fleet of six personal vehicles, he volunteers as a genealogy/family history consultant with his church and has managed the congregation’s website.
